You need to have college or university or bachelor of something to do anything these day if not you just get pushed down the list seems that it's been forgotten on how things got built in the past with many people some that only had elementary or even less so how did they get to where we are now lots of education but no people skills and they just always want everything their way

At present a quick Google search shows it under 25% of jobs require any college degree of any sort. Yes that is due to go up but at the moment I believe the statement is nowhere near true. And as far as the first commenters comment about how did the settlers teach their children, they sure didn't need to know as much back then as they do nowadays so it wasn't critical to have qualified teachers

They taught them how to sow seeds by hand, plow fields with animals or by hand, repair poorly built houses with available materials, how to chop and stack wood, and their best knowledge on how to survive each year. The ones who got it wrong didn't make it to pass on bad information.

Which one of these skills do you think are relevant now? It's not like they could order math and science kits from the Hudson's Bay company. Could the public education system do a better job than it is now? I think most would agree that it could. What kind of resources do you think it would take to get every parent up to the standards of being a 'qualified teacher' with all of the pedagogical knowledge required? Add to that the cost of taking all those teaching parents out of the workforce....wait, that might be a good thing. Let's do it. Teaching degrees for everybody!

I am talking about the natives, the earlier settlers, as their style of education is valid.
So I made no reference to the Frontier, Pioneers and later immigrants.

Whether the teachers are qualified or not - there should be a specific standard of tests. Now the teachers do not want their students to undergo testing saying it’s harmful to the students. Harmful to them - more likely harmful to the teachers when the students can’t pass….

Exactly.

Added later: hopefully these unqualified teachers were not making the same wages as the qualified teachers, that would be so completely unfair.
