They never really closed. In plain speak, I read we got some people to pour tens of thousands of dollars into developing the restaurant kitchen, seating and decor........and then when it became obvious that the business volume was not according to projection's, the leased premises were seized by a bailiff on order of the owners of the hotel. My version would go like this........The restauranteurs were told in no uncertain terms that they could pay up rge arrears and continue with the lease as written, or walk away and be embroiled in litigation for years. We will never know the details of the walk away deal but at the very least, it likely included the lessee's acceptance of the lessor's offer to release from future lease obligations and walk away.
If my speculation is correct.....Mundi Hotels got some unfortunate folks to build and equip a Hotel Restaurant and with a default on the rent of the lease......Mundi now owns the restaurant, it's equipment and any good will for cents on the dollar. The deal would have been private.
It is a vicious business model practised by the largest Community in the world that still clings to the Caste System. I could be wrong but it sure looks typical to me.
