so... Seeing as I KNOW she won't select this question to answer, I'll ask here... is she going to put forth the money for the by-election SHE caused ? Far as I can see, she should have to, seeing as she used the taxpayers here to launch her bigger goals and left those who elected her to do her job didn't do so with her intentions of ditching at the earliest convenience

This happens all the time. Provincial Elections do coincide with civic elections but Federal Elections do not. I think however, that it is byelections that cause most of this problem and I do not see an easy solution as byelections by their nature, were unplanned for events.
What if Amelia had died? Would you be going after her estate for the cost of the election or suggest she prepare a more robust Estate and Will Plan?
What I am more interested in is the cost estimates put out. I hear numbers as low as 85K and as high as 200K. I recall Dan Ashton fronting the cost of the byelection for the very same seat 10 yrs ago and it was a 32k cheque he handed over to the City for 100% reimbursement.
I sure want to hear J Bloom's brilliant take on why the cost of the same byelection is 200 to 600% higher than just 10 yrs ago? Could it be the bloated staff that fills every cupboard in the building. The same bloat that Aston identified and eliminated after BCTF trained Jake Kimberly ran up the headcount so high they had to rent the entire building across the street for office space. So Dan cleans it up and we then get BCTF trained Gary Litke and the head count and hiring march on once again. Brief pause while Vaz wacked a few heads before he *bleep* the bed. And then we are pretty much now filling every corner again with staff with Bloomdick. That same savvy business guy that was going to save the Naramata Hotel with his brilliant business skills and acumen.
Turns out he is none of that but rather just a gift of the Gab charming Brit that should stick to selling cars and real estate because he is not smart enough to run a 12 room Hotel obviously......never mind a City.

It's so wild to see so much woman-on-woman hate for Amelia, especially from leftist women. So much of what they say would be called misogyny if it came from a man's mouth.
