The reason a lot of these kids today are the way they are is because you are not allowed to discipline them anymore. They need a good smack once in a while to learn some respect.

Of course he isn't in custody, and the girl is probably still living in the same house.
This is about par for Kamloops.

In my youth there was a leather belt in a drawer. I got it a couple times. Smartened me up real quick. Scared ya more then hurt ya

Gross that you're all talking about how the girl should be physically abused and aren't talking about how much of a *bleep* this dad obviously is.
Clearly he's not mature enough to be a parent if he gets into arguments about the dishwasher and then messes with her property. She's clearly learned it from somewhere.
Maybe the dad needs some parenting beat into him. *smh*
I had kids young - first at 19, then 20 and 23 - and they're all great humans now at 18, 20 and 21, with no physical abuse. No drugs, no drinking underage, all graduated high school and one is in uni.
You can call spanking whatever you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you're hitting a child.

The fact that you all think hitting children is perfectly fine shows that your parents hitting you didn't actually make you a better person.

Hello: It looks like this family could use some outside support. Maybe someone could make sure the daughter has positive influences around her continuously, done by people who are grounded & know how to stop her if she goes too far? That way, dad could take a day off from parenting, now & then? My sympathies go out to parents faced with provoking behaviours by their offspring. I remember that discipline & corporal punishment were loaded subjects when I grew up! Good luck, everyone! <3 -Renee K. Taylor, Kamloops, BC (Jan. 15/25.)
