Many long time residents avoid the hospital, it has a truly horrible emergency department dedicated to sitting drinking coffee rather then medicine.

Your dismissal of the hard work and dedicated care of the 100’s of hospital staff members based on hearsay seems quite unkind. No big institutions are perfect, but when they fail, criticism that is constructive and specific is much more helpful. In my six years of PRH use I’ve experienced nothing but professionalism in the lab, medical imaging, cardiology, surgical recovery and rehab departments. In my experience the doctors, nurses, rehab and diagnostic specialists, care staff and volunteers are all doing their best despite staffing shortages and growing demand. I appreciate them all.
