Lets merge the two transit system into one. Transit needs today are more regional the localized. Lets bring transit into 2025.

Yeah, we're in need of a Metropolitan Transit Line from Vernon to Penticton. A point I am bringing up in the Transit survey being released for West Kelowna https://www.ourwk.ca/transit today. Perhaps Fraser Young may consider participating in this survey as well?

The line number doesn't need to change, overlap the 97 to downtown and add a few busses at peak times. The frequency along the 97 within town could still be improved so the overlap would frankly be helpful.

It would definitely make it easier for those looking for work to have more options. It seems many businesses advertise help wanted, yet will only post so they can hire temporary workers (as even one of our Councillors mentioned is prevalent in Vernon). It will also allow people to be able to attend courses at the OK College Kelowna Campus

Merging Route 90 with Route 97 is not the solution, but there is a clear cry for a better service between Vernon and Kelowna. The first trip from UBCO to Queensway and then on to Westbank departs UBCO at 05:58. It seems logical that BC Transit should add an earlier bus from Vernon (at 6am?) to arrive before that departure, and also maybe increase the frequency of the Route 90 service at peak hours.
