Another meaningless gesture from the liberal tub of lard that's pretending to be conservative.

Nope, now Ford is NOT going to rip up the deal with Musk. He should, anyways, as who in their right mind wants to deal with that moron. He (Musk) should be piloting the first mission to mars, because it will be a one-way trip; and take the Orange goof with him.

I don't understand how that big Fat Mouth Doug Ford can do anything. He is not the Premier.

Ford and his Big Mouth along with *bleep* Trudeau Poked Trump and clearly stated they were doing Tariffs before Trump moved forward.

Canada is controlled by a lot of Brain Dead Losers.

We are all assuming that you would be pleased if Ford did not rip up that contract and that you are a supporter of Trump and Musk.

So Ontario and now BC claims they will no longer use Starlink, a private US company that is ready to provide rural Internet services at a set price. Just what will they use instead. Yes the feds gave a Quebec company hundreds of millions of dollars to maybe create a comparable satellite network but the big question is when and at what eventual cost to the country and the consumer.

Once again governments have gone mad with irresponsible spending to make it look like they actually care. Instead take on more debt for future generations to pay back and 'promise' rural communities that the Internet is coming 'sometime'.

What a joke and people elect these buffoons to look after us. No doubt a future inquiry will reveal how people within the ruling parties in each province benefit from backroom deals with the alternative Internet providers.

Thee is no common sense just spend more money needlessly. If there was only away to recall David Eby and his useless crowd of cronies.

Hello: I like some of what Doug Ford has said, particularly during the ('19...) COVID-pandemic & in recent weeks. But I thought Canada could use all of the infrastructure it could get (?) Perhaps Mr. Ford intends to ask the candidates for Prime Minister to create a National (Electrical) Power Company, something good for Ontario, at least, partly to compensate for him not taking the Starlink Contract? Thinking about satellite-service, I wonder if a Company like Starlink could lead to the entire world having one internet provider that operates above cloud-cover? (eg, my mother lives at a Float Home at a Marina, & her Provider is obliged to use a cable, coming from dry-land & extending to the Float Home, so she can have cable, telephone & internet. She seems to have frequent service-breakdowns depending on the weather. Perhaps more people living on boats, when they're out in the water, would be able do more than use a cell-phone if they've got satellite?) Although satellite is expensive, my impression is that it might not break down as often as other methods (?) (True?) What if a lot of people using satellite means the cost of subscribing eventually comes down? Thoughts? Good article: Please keep them coming! <3 -Renee K.
