It is interesting how many successful companies are moving out of their current shops because the greedy landlords try to excessively up the rent. I hope these high profile shops stay empty and the landlords suffer with empty premises.

Perhaps if they thought it out, an occupied profitable business in your shop is a lot better than an empty shops for months on end. I guess they can use the loss as a convenient tax loss so it means nothing to them.

Yes, I think the next round with the new prez is going to be defence spending. On this, he has us over a barrel, no pun intended. It's fact that Canada is a shameless freeloader on NATO, NORAD, arctic sovereignty,etc..and has gotten worse under the Trudeau rainbow/ unicorn team.

Yes I will be shopping, not just Canadian but anti American. If I see items on a shelf and it's labeled made in the USA then I will try and find a replacement. I realize that it's not always possible but this will be my go forward policy

We/I have always shopped local, while living in White Rock we NEVER went shopping across the border, the Walmart mentality does that.....
Who needs politicians when we have the White House? Why are Canadians so easily pushed over? DT is a total Fraud, all by design...

Too late. The damage is done. We’ve canceled a month long driving trip to three national parks and 6 states. Not just the tariffs, but will the parks be open? The US government runs out of money again on March 14. Republicans control congress and the White House but there’s so much uncertainty it’s not worth the risk. Sadly we’ll miss seeing family as a result. Going to see more of Canada, maybe do a flyover to Mexico.
Already reducing the purchase of US products. Had seriously considered a new sofa sleeper from the US. Now buying a Canadian & Italian product.

Will buy the cheapest, Canada needs to lower its own prices, and sell cheaper than foreign countries.

We would be better off without the 33% carbon tax to offset the tariffs of 25%... and still able to afford luxuries.
Justin put us all in a bad spot. His consistent application of taxes gives no buffer zone for global economic issues.
