It's kind of crazy how commenters here cheer for literally anything Trump does. It's rather telling. Normal people can both support but also critique politicians, but Conservatives in here celebrate absolutely every little thing Trump, Pierre Poilievre, or Conservative MPs/MMPs do. And I don't doubt they actually put thought into it - it's just that the thoughts are mental gymnastics to justify their dear hero's, not critical thought in any way.

Depends. I think most people (on either side) don't look at anything that isn't favourite news source, never think from other perspectives, and are driven primarily by emotion. End of the day, left and right need each other for equilibrium, and there are plenty of constructive conversations to be had, unfortunately most are just idiots.
