This is in no way a victory or to be celebrated. This province has contributed greatly to the pain and misery of its population with ridiculous and reckless policies. We cannot keep this up. It's time for a drastic policy change. Seeing people shoot up in tents with free drugs is not compassion.

The great success of our heroic government or the simple fact of a limited supply of those poor soles... Sooner or later the supply will run out, sad but inevitable.

So when they again said you can't do drugs wherever you like the number of deaths went down, huh, weird.
I wonder what happens when they say you can't do them at all and again prosecute drug crime... 🤔

The sad thing is if you want treatment in Kelowna you have to add your name to a list at “The Bridge “ or “Freedom’s Door”
Call everyday to keep your name on that list… if not your name moves down that list
Appropriately 3 month wait
Why can’t we open more places to help these people that want help
I know some don’t
But we will give them free drugs and needles
Makes no sense

“Addiction can be influenced by many factors, including housing challenges, the cost of living, mental and physical pain, and intergenerational trauma. By addressing these issues openly and expanding supports, we can help reduce the stigma around substance use and encourage individuals to seek help rather than struggle in addiction.”

There .... you likely skipped this part.
In addition, you just cannot 'quit drugs' like you would say fatty foods or cutting out carbs. It takes medical intervention even when you incarcerate an addict.

Agree, a long way away from no more real gen o side casualties. Alberta appears to be on the right track. Perhaps Bonnie, Eby an their ndp cohorts should have a close look at this and other extreme left created problems, requiring solving with common sense solutions.
Especially after nearly 16,000 casualties from the ndp/Bonnie/Eby safe supply and injection program in BC alone, are real. This is the real gen o side and not the created grave site issue.
The wuhan gain of function experiment, sponsored by the WHO, was real to. It targeted a different demographic, but also very effective.
No fake or misinformation, the casualties and facts speak for them selves and the graves.
But people still voted them in, turning a blackface, orange headgear and blind eye to those atrocities.
Hope Bonnie makes a trip to Alberta and takes in a lesson on common sense problem solving on their self created problem and make that effort to eliminate the BC casualties.

Keeping these people on the streets is just a money machine for the Government. If they really, truly wanted to stop the drug crisis they would put mandatory sentences for drug crimes up to 20 to 25 years for first offence. This would stop these deadbeats in their tracks. Of course the government won't do this because it's a cash cow for everyone involved, right from healthcare, judges, Drug councillor's support nurses and anyone and everyone involved in the system. Why would the government want to stop it ?

Let's legalize pot....what could go wrong?

Put the criminals back on the streets....what could go wrong?

Re-elect the Liberals and NDP....what could go wrong ?

It's going to take a decade to unravel this mess these elected officials did. Eby on TV saying a recession is coming. What a tool.

Well if it wasn’t for the latest news from the USA
The Canadian government is being forced(finally) to do something about the fentanyl crisis
Our borders and ports have been unsecured for years and this NDP Government hasn’t done anything about it yet
Eby is still talking about a trade war, he still is ignoring the problem right in front of his face and he still hasn’t done anything about it
While Trump has actually helped Canadians who are dying on our streets
Maybe now this federal Liberal/NDP will do something about this problem
Hopefully Canada will stop the smuggling of fentanyl and weapons

It was hard to argue with Trump regarding drugs when all he had to do was see how permissive our drug laws have been.
