Regardless of the feeling about the DEI programs its sure something how fast the boot lickers are lining up to kiss the ring. Dont want to be on the wrong side of a mad man I guess.

DEI programs that have quotas are bad implementation of how these programs should work.

They should be much more soft in ways to reduce inherent bias. This can include interviews without seeing the candidate/removing identifiers of race or gender, and using standardized questions and testing. Those don't focus on meeting a "diversity goal" but do help reduce inherent hiring bias which exists in everyone.

Companies took the goal of DEI which is to reduce bias, and turned it into terrible performance goals of hiring x number of people from y and z groups.

This is why Canada in part has no producion growth. Only the best and the brightest should be in key jobs and not because of the colour of their skin or if they are male or female or whatever. It should always be merit based. As one other comment said this is a actually racism in disguise.
