Gorman Bros. is a class act company that always finds a way to make things work. As a retired employee of 38 yrs I’ve seen what this great company is capable of many times. Gormans always has its employees and community top of mind, they will do everything possible to make this work! HOPEFULLY our crazed neighbour to the south sees the value of his closest neighbour and ally.

There isn’t enough 2x4’s in USA to rebuild California, in my mind with a 25% tariff it will never be cost effective, quote me if I’m wrong

To TNH65..What you say is true but, the article is about GORMANS and they don't produce ANY 2x4s..just 1" stock like 1x3, 1x4, 1x6 etc.
No 2x4 or 2x6 for house framing.
No 2x4 or 2x6 for house framing.

Apparently there is good news and bad news for BC resulting from Donald Trump's plans. Both are related to California. 1) they want bulk access to fresh water from BC and 2) given the fires California builders will find themselves with no choice but to buy BC lumber at whatever the price is with Tariffs. Trump could conceivably use that money to help California, but be will be? It's out a chance for Republicans to buy some favour with California voters?
