Teaching your pet to wear boots is a definite plus....

Should just avoid salt WHEN possible. I'm no enviro greeny but it is bad for the waterways and very hard on concrete and other infrastructure. clear the snow before it can turn to ice and a little sand n gravel goes a long way.

Interesting because when we talked to a City worker a couple of years ago when he was spreading Ice Melt on the multi use pathway he told us it was pet safe!

If my dog has any problems I will be super annoyed.

Where do the storm sewers drain ? My understanding is into the lake, bad for paws bad for fish ? Or not bad enough to worry about it . Like a pinch of salt just makes the fish taste better .🤣

I worry more about not falling on a slippery sidewalk and not breaking an arm or a leg than your pets paws. I may damage my fancy boots with the salt but I clean them up. I am thankful for the city workers doing their best to keep us standing up.

And please continue to clean up after your dog. The only thing I want to see pop up out of the snow as it melts are snow drop flowers not piles of dog crap.
