RESTING Canadian Mounted Police. The officer handed the case to retrieve $15,000 in camera equipment at the encampment last August was also on "days off". High definition security video of the lady from tent city NEVER resulted in any kind of arrest or equipment recovery whatsoever. A long lens somehow is not out of place in tent city. Neither is a shopping cart from Safeway that EVERYONE knows is stolen. It's more than laziness because carelessness and uselessness are also deeply ingrained into the RCMP. Resting Careless Mindless Police.

There is no hope whatsoever for Kelowna when the lawyers, judges , prosecutors, city officials, etc….want there to be lots of crime in Kelowna. Stolen items means good business for big box stores, and mom n pop stores when the victims of theft have to go out to these stores and buy new stuff. It’s good fir the stores, and it’s good for the government tax revenue.

While most Canadian didn’t like the Trumpster’s idea of Canada becoming the 51 State their laws surrounding people entering private property without permission should be adopted here in Canada. You enter without permission and are caught sealing you will most likely be shot. Ergo there is less thieving due to these possible consequences. Our RCMP care but with our revolving door policy they can’t keep up, so we need more jails, more prosecutors and sentencing by the courts. The law should reflect what the majority of the people within the country want not what a few law makers in Ottawa feel is their right to determine.

This strike a cord because in the summer the British Columbia Wildlife Federation had 24 bows stolen from a vehicle in Kelowna. There was photo evidence that a tent town occupant had all of them. The RCMP even seized 6 from the theif in person but refused to go the guilty party's tent and recover the remaining bows stating a breach of privacy. Funny how someone can break multiple laws yet are protected when they do so.

Either way the RCMP should be investigating. New files should not be going to someone who is going off shift IE holidays etc.It is just simply not how business is done. At least not productive businesses.

There are a few good cops on the street but there are alot of lazy ones and I have experienced that first hand. So this Inspector can try and cover for them all he wants, hes just blowing smoke up peoples arses. Nice try Goebel.
