If you want to give up on democracy. To argue something like that, one would truly have to take for granted this freedom we have in a democracy.

What freedom?
The freedom to do whatever you wish so long as it conforms with the majority of society?
The freedom to think and believe whatever you wish, but be careful what you say?
The freedom to have no choice in healthcare provider, insurance provider, no say in how half of all your earnings is spent, no choice but to support the spending of fools and tyrants with the tithes of you labour.
Oh what freedom we have in our democracy.
But I guess nowhere is perfect and surely this is much better than most.

It's interesting/sad/disheartening seeing a lawyer express the exact opposite of the checks & balances that the country was founded on. Just shows that there are now people with the control to twist the system to their own benefit.

Damm straight! Was the best option we had at the time. To turn to begging for the end of law and order and begging for a dictatorship instead, is the most saddest, pathetic thing I've seen.the truth wrote: Feb 10th, 2025, 8:35 amyou mean like we were forced to take the covid shot or lose your job in canada, like thatalext wrote: Feb 9th, 2025, 8:44 pm

Yeah people like Musk you can see not understanding the Legal system, it's still dumb but you get how they reach the conclusion, but someone who was educated on it like Vance is disappointing at beststreetuser wrote: Feb 10th, 2025, 5:27 am It's interesting/sad/disheartening seeing a lawyer express the exact opposite of the checks & balances that the country was founded on. And I absolutely am "one of those"... I believe in laws and that in a big, beautiful, complex society, we need order. If you aren't a fan of some of the decisions made, get involved, vote. Its not perfect and mistakes will always be made, but throwing it out for an evil dictatorship has proven to be, and always will be worse.
