What an amazing sense of pride it evokes, watching the current (outgoing) PM tell a get-together of wealthy oligarchs, that they shouldn't be the 'only ones' to benefit from this.
Or, it could be gas.

Remember this when your power goes out and you're left in the dark. It's okay it's just AI sucking up all the power so that it can direct you to a shop selling candles

"As an environmentalist, for me, the debate is over," he said."
This guy says the most bizarre things. He loves the self-generated virtuous labels.
An environmentalist doesn't use private jets to travel to every available junket, have lavish onboard food most of which is thrown out nor does he vacation in the Caribbean via jet. He couldn't even answer the simple question from a reporter: what are you doing to reduce plastic use in your home? Totally clueless and delusional.

Environmentalist my buttocks as he is jet-setting around the globe doing as much b-licking as possible to secure an appointment on the global stage so he can continue to embarrass Canada.
Nuclear power was being fazed out in some countries over the last few decades and now it is moving to the the top of the list. I agree nuclear power is required to satisfy the lack of excess power we currently have on the grid. However, I do not agree with the sales pitch. Building nuclear power plants takes years and the carbon foot print to build is massive. But the heavy thinkers will create a billion carbon offset credits with a magic wand and we are back to a zero carbon footprint. Magic right!
Nuclear power should have been a continuous sustainable build and we would not have be in a power shortage crisis. But now the nuclear cream has risen to the top and it will be met with regulatory roadblocks at every level of our political and indigenous bureaucracy. If one nuclear power plant of significant size does get built it will make site c dam look like an inexpensive build.

Nuclear energy is not clean energy. The spent uranium is deadly to all life for hundreds of thousands of years. Nuclear reactor sites should have to keep all contaminated materials, including water, on the same property forever…… if this was required, I wonder how many people would want a reactor built in their community.
