Why encourage counter tariffs and make everything more expensive for Canadians. Trump wants steel and aluminum to be manufactured in his own country and employ his own citizens and why not. We should be selling our steel and aluminum to Canadians. Not sure why this is such an issue. Common sense imo. I don't need another tax / tariff on anything we import as Trudeau and Liberals have made Canada one of the highest taxed countries in the world. Maybe start by incentivizing businesses to come to Canada and lowering the corporate tax rate and other taxes.

Freedom, Right to own property, earned paychecks & profits, not adding another level, to 4 levels of governance with the WEF fourth Reich regime and only the two natural genders.
All Canada must do to maintain sovereignty, is pay its share of the cost to protect our joint borders, continent and NATO commitments.

Corporate taxes have been on a steady decline for the last few decades. In the 1950’s 50% of federal taxes collected were from businesses, it’s now below 10%. That is one of the reasons why the middle class pays so much tax.
