Education? Like Iranian Sesame Street?
We need to focus on us. We can't be looking to save other countries when we are in the state we are in.
Canada needs to save itself. Our politicians are looking to find ways to squeeze money from our wallets. How much will this education program cost Canadians? Meanwhile, our education system is completely messed up and creating problems for the future.
Remember when there were those 3-4 kids in class that struggled to read? They always got the huge paragraphs and you always got small little 1-2 sentence readings?
Well, imagine that in reverse. Imagine you are 1 of 3-4 kids that CAN read. Now, we are going to try imagining an entire grade having that issue....
Now one last thing: just imagine that grade graduating and not knowing how to read at the level of grade 5?
That's not even discussing critical thought, perception and understanding, math, science, etc.

Focus on us. We all know this to be true. In the rare chance I have to take a bus somewhere, it becomes quite apparent as to the level of education our children are receiving.

Take that funding and put it towards Canadians!

Education is absolutely irrelevant when the quality of life is so poor that the fastest and most lucrative way provide for your family and pay for food, shelter and the necessities is to turn to gangs and militias.

I do respect D'Allaire but this is such a Canadian response which we can no longer afford. The Somali pirates were not stopped by education. ISIS, Hamas etc, I don't think so.
