Weird... the NDP not keeping their promise. How odd. And yet, they could afford to give their whole cabinet a raise?

Such low hanging fruit.

Yes, the nefarious schemes of the deceptive NDP Socialist BC government can now all be deflected onto the evil orange one south of the border who is exposing a serious structural government problem we have with all levels of government in Canada.
Well Vancouver, are you happy you voted for this yet? I think it has only just begun, you fools.
For someone paying attention, the last 7 years with these guys in charge has been a disaster for British Columbia and it's citizens.

Re: B.C. cancels $1,000 grocery rebate and pauses some hiring over Trump's tariff threats
"Bailey said she's disappointed the government can't keep its election promise on the rebate".
Well, suprise, suprise. I mean, I personally couldn't care less if the grocery rebate has to be cancelled but I am sure many families out there could really use it. I feel for them, just as the Federal government backed out of it's $400. rebate that was supposed to come in March.
Is anyone beginning to see a pattern here? Why doesn't the BC NDP and the Federal Liberals/NDP just tell the truth? Sorry folks, our personal raises meant more to us than you being able to feed your families.Along with other foolish, wasteful spending which would take days for me to list.
Don't blame just the tariffs. Eby has spent our money carelessly just like Ottawa has. The tarrifs are gonna hurt but if there was anything left in the bank, they might not hurt so much.
Our governments, both provincially and federal have caused this problem. No planning ahead for the future, just spend, spend, spend. I hope everyone who voted NDP or Liberal gets laid off from their jobs first. Maybe that will knock some sense into them come the next election, federal or provincial.

NDP never planned on doing this in the first place. But gave Eby a great talking point during the run up to the election. Enjoy, you voted for him.

People must realize Eby and the NDP had no intention of keeping their election promises, and they just got a convenient excuse to do what ever they want.

But nothing about rolling back the 50 percent raise he gave themselves day 1.

"I'm doing great, I've got more money than I ever have and couldn't care less about anyone else.
It's every person for himself and if you don't like it then pull yourself up by the bootstraps and quit crying"
Obviously you are part of the problem with this Liberal/NDP Socialist mindset stated in the above quote.
It is this divide and distract mindset by the lying Socialist NDP/ Liberals that have gotten the middle class in the mess we are in today.

Premier David Eby’s decision to give every MLA in his BC NDP caucus an extra title and pay boost isn’t sitting well with the opposition, which says it’s a waste of more than $2 million.
Conservative leader John Rustad said the premier’s decision to blow money on frivolous appointments for his MLAs is unacceptable at a time when ordinary British Columbians are dealing with cost of living pressures.
“People in British Columbia are struggling to put food on the table, they are struggling to make ends meet and you have a reaction to David Eby basically giving every one of his MLAs some sort of wage increase with a bloated government, as opposed to a government that needs to reign in its spending and focus on dealing and supporting people who are really struggling in British Columbia,” said Rustad.
Watch the report below:
BC MLAs make a base salary of almost $120,000. Eby named 27 members to his cabinet, which comes with a $60,000 raise for full ministers and $42,000 for ministers of state. He also named 14 parliamentary secretaries, who get $18,000 pay bumps. The few members of his 47-person caucus left without a job were given caucus executive roles, such as government whip, caucus chair and deputy chair of the committee of the whole — each worth $24,000 in additional salary.

It took us a long time, but most of us have by now figured out that Premier Mr. Bean (I’m involved in everything…even buying toilet paper for the Legislature…..the dummy ministers I have appointed can’t be trusted..so I do it all) is, at best, a sham and a prevaricator. How did we ever let these goofs get back in to power? Shame on us!
