Considering Nazism is not socialism you couldn't be more wrong.Pappajohn wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 6:50 pmActually, divide the population, and distract from the issues that are actually negatively impacting their lives is a progressive, Socialist strategy adopted by some of the most despicable political figures in history. The divide and distract is a regressive far right radicalist mindset actually. They can't see beyond simplistic emotional viewpoints and lose their minds whenever they see anything as "woke". It's frankly disturbing that the good conservative ethos that used to exist has been mashed in with the devolved uneducated righties.

I find it hard to believe that you all are worried about the $1000 rebate when Trump is doing everything he can to disable Canada! You are falling right into his hands..divide us on our own small problems when thousands of jobs and businesses are at risk. I'm surprised you have time for worrying about the cookie jar when the country is the target.

Winker, come on... I never said that I wanted the rebate to go through. Obviously that money is ridiculous to spend, especially now. But I am not the one who campaigned on it and got elected.WinkDinkerson wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 4:35 pm...and if it did go through bcconservatives heads would explode with "this cannot be afforded at this time with tariffs looming"bcconservative wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 4:19 pm Weird... the NDP not keeping their promise. How odd. And yet, they could afford to give their whole cabinet a raise?
Such low hanging fruit.
I like how you didn’t comment on the pay raises though. Winkey, wink. Nudgey, nudge.

So why, then, would the Nazis call themselves “socialists”? In part, it’s because the term “socialism” has been constantly evolving and changing since its inception. Some varieties of socialism bear no resemblance to the works of Karl Marx. According to The Counter-Revolution of Science, by Friedrich von Hayek, the term “socialism” was coined in the 1800s by French philosopher Henri de Saint-Simon, who believed that industrialization and the Scientific Revolution called for a complete rearrangement of government and society.Tack wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 7:10 pmConsidering Nazism is not socialism you couldn't be more wrong.Pappajohn wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 6:50 pm

Quit blaming Trump for your own Government’s incompetence.
Elections have consequences. Hopefully you will vote differently next time.

As part of the 51st state -BC would have access to many groceries - Wonder if they can move the money for the rebate to buy out Chinese pork producers?

Canadians are weak
We should not be taking handouts and have a dont tread on me attitude to establishment
Govt should build the roads and hospitals and citizens live good lives
Most of us canadian citizens are fools - way too caught up in govt rhetoric while having a dart and triple triple
Go away and live a good life… before its too late for ya

To all those people who think that Canada should become part of the USA, please pack a bag and move your *bleep* down there. You are traitors and nothing less.

Donald keeps saying this… he hasn’t once made any mention of actual talking to Canada actual Head of State or his representative. Probably because he doesn’t have a clue who this person actually is.

The Tariffs by the american President create an opportunity for Ebey,Trudeau and Carney to accelerate the demise of Canada and continue in their quest to hide the corruption that has infested Canada for the last ten years or so.All the while cashing in on the criminal activity invited into this country.

""It is our responsibility to make sure that we protect the core services for people in British Columbia, that we protect health care, that we protect education, that we protect social services, that we protect safety in our streets.""
So are we suppose believe that too? another fake promise. Every NDP/Liberal voter is a complete idiot.

Even look at wiki... "As one of the main ideologies on the political spectrum, socialism is the standard left-wing ideology in most countries." YOU couldn't be more wrong.

As you sit there on your bloated behind combing thru data clouds trying to figure out your worldview, you might consider showing up to reality and engage in civic logical debates with your fellow citizens in our democracy and listen to the very explicitly predicted outcomes of your academic social justice warrior fantasy experiments: They fail. Innocent people suffer because of them. It's ok to let the word "innocent" trigger you because you have desecrated that notion within yourself in your Marxist addled brain of identity politics and forever crimes of "colonialist capitalism" and "omnipresent white supremacy"Tack wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 6:04 pm Obviously a very common sense move with the uncertainty Trump created. Only trained radical regressive righties would lose their minds over this and go all 'gotcha' on this election promise.
As usual, the NDP in BC are not unwilling to pivot when the data presents that it's necessary. Just like rolling back the decriminalization of drugs, they change as is necessary. Something radical righties can't understand and think that change means something bad and if you said one thing you can never change that.

Its a little more complicated than that.deckerbc wrote: ↑Feb 13th, 2025, 11:41 pm Socialism is in the name. National socialists. Might want to read up on your history bro.

While the Nazi Party did start out as a socialist movement, hence the name of the National Socialist German Worker's Party, they later dropped the socialist part as they wanted to be more popular with the middle class. Once Hitler came in to the spotlight, while he did have many socialist views, he turned the Party into a Nationalist Party. There were still many in the Party that held on to the original Socialist ideology of the Party, but Hitler deemed them a threat to his popularity and ordered them to be suppressed.
Apologies that thats just the Cliff Notes version, its too early to start writing an essay on the history.
