Well, when you kill 122 million chickens you'll definitely have fewer eggs and the price will go up. All because of (alleged) bird flu. Gotta control that food supply to control the people.
Retail sales always drop after the Christmas season but Americans (like Canadians) are watching their spending. Many there are as broke as many Canadians.

The guy down road is still selling a doz eggs for the same $5 /per he has for the last 10 or more years.
10 years ago was pricey, but fresh farm is worth the extra.
