My 18 Y/O son is in the military.
When he flew back to Shilo Manitoba on Jan 4th after his Christmas break at home Air Canada managed to "lose" his bag full of new snowshoes (450.00), New winter boots (350.00), His good hiking boots (500.00) and assorted necessities.
Thing is the bag shows as never leaving Kelowna so all i can think is it was stolen by an employee as it was tagged then just "POOF" gone.
Over a month later and still no explanation from Air Canada nor a reimbursement.
Air Canada sucks.

It's a mystery that their business isn't thriving, offering the worst prices and the worst service, carrying the worst reputation and being avoided by most people at all costs. Our lack of options is the only thing keeping them in business.

I’m quite sympathetic to your son losing his belongings. We started using AirTags, they may not guarantee finding a lost bag but so far they have been helpful when one of my suitcases was lost.DIPSOMANIAC wrote: ↑Feb 14th, 2025, 8:29 am My 18 Y/O son is in the military.

Air Canada sucks.
I think though as military family member you may want to reconsider your disrespect for the Canadian flag.

Air Canada better not be looking for a juicy government bailout. I am tired of hearing about bailouts for Bombardier, CBC and other bloated fat cat companies, just to hear in a follow-up article about multimillion dollar bonuses for the executives and a round of layoffs for the peasant work force.
