Almost like campaigning, right justin? The 3.9 billion being the largest infrastructure project ever will most assuredly be 10 billion. Watch as the liberal cronies line up at the trough…who’s on first? No doubt SNC Lavalin . Oh right too much liberal scandal associated with that name best to change it to AtkinsRéalis

About time we get a high speed rail system in Canada. We are in the 21 century after all.

How can huge decisions like this be made when we don’t have a government?

I love how he kept saying 'Canadians want this' in his press conference.
I do not recall being consulted.
In fact, I question if the government should be allowed to enter into a contract for this, given the current (outgoing) PM does not have the confidence of the House of Commons.
For crying out loud, he doesn't even have the confidence of his own party.

It won't ever happen!! And it'll only cost taxpayers more. We already have rail across Canada and it's INSANELY EXPENSIVE.
What has Trudeau and the liberals done to benefit you and make your life better?

I'd like to see this be the start of better rail options all across Canada though I know what our geography has to say about that. This would provide a good option for a large portion of the population.

Pure pork barrel politics from the 19th century, exactly what I'd expect from this loser and his desperate power grubbing pals. This is a preposterous unaffordable idea that will never happen. But will cost billions to find out.

Why is this guy still making policy and spending announcements when he won't even be the PM three weeks from now? More Liberal vote buying in Quebec.

If you look up pork barrel, you will see Justin's picture there. He has resigned but not accountable to parliament or us. He must have taken lessons from Joe Biden. Both of these guys should be caretaker governments until the next leader gets in, not sabotage them.

My god.
Just heard Anand give more details of this.
Four billion(!) over five years to 'consult'.
Read: Talk (and spend)
Then, they'll get down to building.
As always with this government; Announcement!
(details to follow....action may, or may not be forthcoming....)
