Now there is a plan you can get behind. When I went to planning school, no area plan was complete without an education component. There is something fundamentally wrong when a municipality can't create a basic land plan because it can't get answers from the provincial government, and yet the municipality labors under the burden of provincial housing targets. Question: Why designate land for future educational use in the OCP when nobody has a clue where the school will go?

I liked the proposed plans at the Open House done at the Laurel last year. They seemed logical to me, and advocated for logical traversal of the spaces with the Green Corridor and proposed zones.

Downtown is not for single family homes, perfect spot for townhomes and low rise condos. All this whining nonsense is just that, go move to the suburbs for your unused front lawn and 3000 sqft mcmansions if that's what you want.
