I hope this includes saving government data in BC and not in a foreign country.

What a Dufus. He is smiling cause he stole the election right out from under us and pocketed the $1000 rebate that he promised the people of British Columbia. Raises for all of his crooked cronies.

The picture says it all. Let's remove the alcohol we already paid for and laugh laugh laugh at the stupid public. Try that with the US food on our grocery shelves and then of course charge more for gas and everything else so we get more tax revenue and laugh laugh laugh at the public who will just blame Trump. What's our deficit or debt again?

Just my OPINION - nothing more:
I don't see the logic in taxing/tariff booze.
Trump's lobbing economic missiles while we send snowballs.
Trump called it his "economic war" on Canada and that 'boots on the ground' is not ruled out. He said he will take Canada and make his 51st state "using economic" means.
Trump is attacking Canada. Whether he uses bullets, tariffs, or boots on the ground. We are under attack, Stop being a lackadaisical, 'sorry' Canadian and fight back.
Buy Canadian!!!! It's a hard thing to do, especially with the groceries. Most may remember when Heinz In 2014 packed up its ketchup production from its Leamington, Ontario plant to the US which led to a public backlash and a shift in Canadian ketchup consumption towards French's, which was made in Canada.
Heinz then said they'd buy Canadian tomatoes. They buy them from Canada using U$ turn it into ketchup and we buy it back off the shelves at U$ prices. By French's - made in Canada.
There are very few, if more than 10 Canadian owned retailers. The U$ bought Hudson Bay, Molson Brewers, there are many fracking corporations fracking the the ground and Canadians. Look at the number of U$ made cars on the road.
Canadian retailers stock their shelves with the things we need. A great deal are made in the US, a "Product of the US".
We can go in to a Canadian retailer (owned by the U$) and buy Canadian products. Canada's manufacturing is subsidized so much they don't want to expand because they'll lose the free money. But we do make a lot of products - we just need to check labels.
IMO, Canada needs to grow and let go of the U$ apron and start hurting Trump where it counts, in the money pot. What ever he does to try a embargo, or a shut down of all U$ serveries and cross-border trade, Canadians are strong enough to out-weather Darth Don and his StormTrumpers.
Please - what I've leaned in the retail industry is that we can't be the usual lethargic lemmings often seen before reality strikes. Fight back. Hard! And we can start at the check-outs.
When shopping in a giant retailer, and if the retailers is U$ owned, remember that they may sell Canadian Made goods - look for the label.
Don't let a misogynistic "Real American Psycho" bully us in to submission.
Canadians chased U$ attacks back across the 49th - let's do it again.

Today Eby is thinking of taxing trucks transiting through BC.
Tomorrow Trump is taxing all commercial vehicles transiting through America bound for BC, and possibly anywhere in Canada.
That's dumb Eby, real dumb. But typical of who we elect in Canada.

Well, using my logical brain and most should, this is great. Why Canada has trade barriers from province to province within Canada is so so ridiculous. This is Canada and all provinces should be able to trade with each other at no cost. We need to rely on our own resources within Canada. Enough of this USA crap. We don’t need anything to do with the USA. Also, I feel that a huge toll price should be paid by every American trying to come into Canada, trying to get over to Alaska. it’s another no-brainer. Eby, you are right on the money with this one.

Except when we will be charged for trucking fresh veggies from Mexico, and most US-Alaska cargo goes by ship. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for standing up, but without provoking the obvious countermeasures.justbreathe7 wrote: ↑Mar 13th, 2025, 3:51 pm Well, using my logical brain and most should, this is great.
