and we wondered why our country was overrun with mass immigration....now we see that the colleges and universities were lobbying for it. I agree with the 1st submission - the taps are now turned off and the whining should as well.

The two first comments are uninformed about what's been happening in higher education. The Governments of our country stopped funding local education and put all the onus on the colleges to make up for the shortfalls in funding. This is a direct result of defunding education in the post-secondary space, schools had to make up those shortfalls and unfortunately, the local population with all their genius insight wasn't going to make up that cash.

Just a thought. Lower the prices and give more access to Canadians...you know on the account that it is the Canadian taxpayers who are predominantly funding you. Under no circumstances should a Canadian student be ever denied a place in the school because a foreigner is willing to pay double or triple just so they can fast track a Canadian citizenship. This needs to stop.
It's time we put Canadians' education as a priority.

I suppose that the DEFICIT is on what you would have made(forecast) not the LOSS to the your bottom line!! Tell the PUBLIC the TRUTH.......... As you state COULD in your opening sentence!! The College will still make money just not what they are used too!!:) mmunro69 has the right THOUGHT.......always wanting more as we the REAL citizens are lead to believe something that isn't

Wholy tone def. This comes out the same day they proudly announce spending $58 million on a wine and food building. Yes $51 of that is gov funding, but here's a novel idea, how about getting gov funding to maintain staffing?

What a kick in the pants to those employees that are getting the shaft.

Hmmm well you just got a huge donation and you’re planning on building a new innovated building that will cost over 5.8 mil. Maybe not?

What will the poor landlords of Kelowna do if they can't stuff 6 foreign students into a 2 bedroom apartment???

Better pay off your defect before constructing a 5.8 million food and wine building . Trudeau and the immigration minister brought in thousands of international students too many causing housing shortages and thus high rentals . 35 % were told to leave and go back to there countries with no hope of permanent residency and a Canadian future . .All hopes were dashed . Way to go Trudeau ! and good riddance,

Is this the same college that just announced (currently on Castanet) a 58.8 million dollar food and wine building?
