@saboom01 not sure why the need to call names. Sounds like this woman has legitimate concerns and the city is not following it's own zoning laws. If this is what you think is ruining the world you would benefit by opening your eyes to WHAT IS ACTUALLY happening in our world and not base it on what is going on in the little city of West Kelowna.

I like it when someone challenges the city to live up to the rules set as policy. If the city continues to act independently of the rules is it an office for the people??

Not a lawyer, but I think she has an uphill legal battle to climb here, noting one of her concerns is with respect to panhandling nearby. Gabel Holdings would have zero control over that, since that is not stemming from their property, but likely rather due to the supportive housing facility nearby. That's only temporary, too, as BC Housing will be moving it to a permanent facility further away at the corner of Highway 97 and Bartley Road, on property it bought from the City.

There is no need for people putting this person down! I find that she absolutely has a legitimate concern! I live in Pinewoods Villa and we were not notified of this or even were asked what our thoughts were on this. The City, like a lot of times, just does what they want. One day coming home, I saw an address sign on the outside of the Strata property and was wondering what that was all about. It just appeared one day. Especially this Strata is Private Property. Now, I know! I hope she wins! This company has to go through Private Property and use residential streets to get to their site. That will ruin the roads quickly with Large Trucks & Equipment. They aren't the ones that would be paying for road maintenance! All us Strata Residents would be responsible or could have higher Strata Fees.

This business has been in this location for 10+ years. The roads haven't changed. This complainant is new to the park. She chose to purchase her property near the entrance. She didn't do her research now she's targeting a family business that has followed the rules of bylaws and policies since day 1. Strata has no issues with this property.
