This man’s sentence is a travesty & an insult to all survivors of domestic abuse. Both the prosecutor & defense lawyers should lose their law degrees or at the very least apologize to domestic abuse victims & be made to go back to school for more training (or is this how they are being taught now)! It’s election time - let’s see who is willing to put justice back in the courtrooms. I don’t care & I’ll say most Canadians don’t care what colour, race, background you come from or pro-noun or use - if you’re an adult you should be held responsible for your actions. It shouldn’t matter that you had a rough childhood, or your parents did or what happened in your past - you made the wrong choice & you are responsible. Lot’s of people didn’t have a great childhood — that is NO excuse! NO more reports! NO more excuses! Just NO more!
