I live on a road a block from city centre and it hasn't been repaved in probably 40 plus year, probably more like 50 and its literally like 4x4ing to my house every day but you can pave a perfectly walkable/rideable rail trail? Take care of the streets first!

Why pave it! Waste of money ……. Spend the money from Commonwealth Rd. To the airport to be opened. Especially with the talk of opening Commonwealth Rd to Jim Bailey. Save peoples lives for crying out loud !

A lot of this has to do with access for residents of Lodge Rd. All those people may not be allowed to drive to their homes for months. They've been told they will have to leave their vehicles at the RC club and hoof it from there, "sorry for the inconvenience", lol. Brilliant planning as usual from Lake Country government.

Problem today with parking at new developments is they are designed for two small suv's and some places only provide one parking stall. Everyone knows that to afford to live in this valley both adults have to be working, thus two vehicles per unit. I can't see people parking at the RC club and using the rail trail to get home if I read that right.

Maybe someone would explain to me the definition of "more equitable transportation". Where is the decision of the arbiter defining "equitable transportation"? Perhaps everyone should be made to stay at home so that nobody has a transportation advantage.

Fuel taxes don't come close to covering the cost of maintaining roads. Which means that people who don't drive cars are massively subsidizing taxpayers that use the roads. This is a great project it equals the playing field to some degree.
