Maybe we should allow Chinese EV's into the country. They are cheap enough and we shouldn't need government rebates. And that might solve a whole other bunch of trade issues.

EV's....we're just now seeing the warts of owning an EV. Limited mileage, fires, lack of charging pumps, and we knew from the git go the cost of buying and EV. Like it or not gas driven cars and trucks will be around for a long, long time. Just sayin.
