This should be the Transcanada Trail and the trail could be called the rec route as the highway is not much more than a trail. 4 laning all the way by 2125

People should be anticipating an increase in accidents on Highway 97 during the next 2 years. Presently the traffic flow on Hwy.97 is atrocious as a result and it isn’t vacation season yet. With the usual influx of tourism to the Mara area this summer it’s going to be a struggle to even turn off the highway never mind accessing it without causing some serious congestion.

Agree with bob57. The detour route is a scenic secondary highway, never intended to handle the traffic flows of the Trans Canada. We will need enforcement along that route, or there will be chaos.

Lol, the malakwa accident has been cleared & castanet has updated the status.
But the bridge? Nah, maybe we just won't update this.
