Oh I love this!! We need more of this. I'm so sick of idiot drivers, such recklessness, that causes so much highway carnage.

I travel a lot from Penticton to Summerland and have noticed numerous speeders as well as drivers on cell phones. From Penticton to Trout Creek the posted speed is 100 kms. I set my cruise at that soeed and I am the slowest vehicle out there. Its the same from Trout Creek to Summerland though the posted speed is 90. No one slows down. I get tail gated, I get the finger and more though I am at the posted speed limit. The provicial government could rake in a fortune if they would allow the police to do more traffic law enforcement even if its just for a couple of days a week but they are too busy dealing with prolific offenders, drug issues, homeless issues, petty crime and the list goes on. Too bad. Hire more police and their pay cheques could be easily paid for from traffic fines.

I hate to be a wet blanket but 14 tickets in two days? I'm not sure how many officers were involved in this but seems to me one guy could write wayyyyy more that 7 tickets a day. So if there was more officers that that involved, I wouldn't really be taking a victory lap. There is NOBODY doing the speed limit from Penticton to Peachland.
