Maybe if our governments hadn't spent years lying to us and moving the goalposts about the Covid vaccine maybe people might have more trust in public health measures and vaccines. The government only has themselves to blame for lower vaccination rates and the resurgence of illnesses like Measles...

Measles are no big deal. In my childhood measles, mumps and chicken pox came around. I don't know how old I was but with herd immunity it went through the community fast, giving us the antibody we needed so we didn't get it again. What's the big deal?

Alberta .... well suffice it to say that they are less likely to vaccinate there. Measles will have a significant impact. It is unfortunate that the legions of uneducated make the decisions for those that don't get to make the decision (children). Education does not consist of reading articles on the internet or listening to the guy at the pulpit. Education is hard and takes a long time. Painful lessons on the other hand are hard and take less time.

Re: Three new cases of measles reported in Alberta, including Calgary
Too bad that folks can’t see the difference between learning how to treat and prevent covid, a new infectious disease, and measles. The first years of measles vaccines included errors and changes as well. It’s now proven safe and effective for 50 years. But some like to conflate the two disease responses and put lives at risk for no reason. Measles is a big deal to some — not a huge percent, but why risk permanent health impacts or death and unnecessary costs — to prove what exactly? That you weren’t one of the few unlucky ones who died. Is the return of polio going to be the next political battle ground to prove someone’s manhood?
