If these devastated Canadian communities were indian bands eby would fall all over himself giving them billions of dollars to do nothing.

Instead Canadian taxpayers have to fend for themselves AND the bands.

This is the truth and biased only for fairness and justice.

A correction. The mountain pine beetle is not an invasive species. It has been here for the last 10,000 plus years. A big outbreak has always occurred every 120 to 180 years. Then historical lightning would have started a few wildfires and then a new forest grew in. The difference this time is we wish to log and alot of the forest died at once.

A big shortage of logs right now is from trying to protect old growth forests in the interior. That is wrong as interior forests die young and create a fire hazard resulting in large wildfires. Let's log and use the trees.

South of Kamloops, a large area burned. Logging it was not permitted. The local mill in Merritt had to truck in logs to keep the mill running. It is being salvage logged now. Would it not have been better to selective log? Much of the vegetation and small creatures wouldn't have been lost to the fire. Win /win.

Chances are the timber in the burn you're referring to is lodgepole pine. It grows too close together for it to be selective logged, much better to clear-cut.
