I'm sure a few one-way arrows in grocery store aisles will save some lives. 2 weeks should flatten the curve. We're all in this together (unless you fall out of line and dare question anything then we hope you die).
Never forget.
Never forget.

Where in Ontario? where in Quebec? what communities.....how many deaths in the last 20 years in Canada? 5? I think it was 1 in 20 years in Ontario...and were their underlying conditions? did they also get pneumonia? More scare tactics, it's not stop. I person in 20 years died from Measles...more kids die from snowboarding...

Exactly… fear mongering is still going strong from our main stream media.sherwoody wrote: ↑Apr 17th, 2025, 10:29 am Where in Ontario? where in Quebec? what communities.....how many deaths in the last 20 years in Canada? 5? The same people regurgitating this Media nonsense and spreading irrational fear are the ones during Covid that called on their neighbours for having people over and shamed others for not wearing a mask or getting vaccinated.
I will leave this here and maybe it helps one or two of you that wake up everyday and scroll the news to find out what should scare or upset them for the day.

When a significant outbreak of serious disease occurs in Canada, of course it will be reported. It isn't "fear mongering," it is responsible, informative news.
It isn't only about measles mortality (deaths-- sadly an Ontario child died last year), it's also about morbidity of measles. About one in four infected kids ends up in hospital with complications like ear infection, pneumonia, severe diarrhea, encephalitis and sepsis. It can cause fatal Subsclerosing Panencephalitis several years later after staying dormant.
"But hardly anyone dies of measles " --That's true in North America because of widespread vaccination. What is also true is that two doses of vaccine prevents measles in about 98% of people.

It’s fear mongering. It is non stop propaganda to divide us in issues so that we fight amongst ourselves instead of against radical government rules, regulation, and overreach.Gardengirl184 wrote: ↑Apr 17th, 2025, 10:55 am When a significant outbreak of serious disease occurs in Canada, of course it will be reported. More people in B.C died from overdoses, car accidents, cancer, the list goes on… compared to the deaths of Covid that were outrageously over reported, but yet society acted like a bunch of scared monkeys willing to segregate and villianize their friends, family and neighbours…
I see this Measles garbage as trying to continue that trend when Measles is one of thousands of viruses that can cause death. We are all going to die of something, somehow, someday. Some people live risker, other don’t. You could die anytime even taking every precaution so stop living in this radical fear from the media and go and enjoy the sunshine.

I'm not afraid of information. Medical information on measles doesn't cause division. The vast majority of people understand the importance of children's immunisations.MediaOwnsYou wrote: ↑Apr 17th, 2025, 2:46 pmIt’s fear mongering. I'm not interested in hearing your off-topic, conflated nonsense about a completely different virus and situation.

What’s all this fear mongering about speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road is killing peopje? “We are all going to die of something, somehow, someday. Some people live risker, other don’t. You could die anytime even taking every precaution so stop living in this radical fear from the media and go and enjoy the sunshine.”

And have you ever tried eating raw chicken or using a propane heater in an unventilated room? So much fear mongering about those risks as well. No need take simple and effective precautions because “we are all going to die of something, somehow, someday. Some people live risker, other don’t. You could die anytime even taking every precaution so stop living in this radical fear from the media and go and enjoy the sunshine.”

The problem is we have a society that has too much information and people read a headline on Castanet and spread it like wildfire not even reading the article or finding out the legitimacy or sources.Gardengirl184 wrote: ↑Apr 17th, 2025, 7:17 pmI'm not afraid of information. Children immunizations are very important and a choice needs to be made by the parent if they choose to have these done and when. It is also important to note that there may severe consequences of getting these immunizations, especially if too many are given at once or early on or if your child is presently sick or has an undiagnosed condition.
I think the nonsense you are referring to is the constant mind Tom foolery of the government to vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate!
