That priority goes a long way towards helping the sick and destitute people in the world?

If the church sold the throne and sceptre of the pope, they could end world hunger half a dozen times over. It's not in the best interest to solve world hunger or half their donations would stop coming in.
If the final wishes of the Pope are to push the LGBTQ agenda, and not to solve the ACTUAL crisis in the world, what does that say about the current state of modern religion?

Yeah, they basically describe how a lot of it was indeterminate. Parts taken out of context etc.George Orwell 1984 wrote: ↑Apr 22nd, 2025, 8:51 amThat certainly was a tough one to find …. Right? Took me all of .5 of a second

This is a good discussion around this part of the topic:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/letter-to-dr-laura/Dear Dr. Laura,
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.
a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Woodchuck asked where homosexuality is condemned in the bible ......................................................................................................................................................................... Several places actually but the two main ones are found in Romans1:20 -31.... Plus another time in 1st Corinthians 6:9-10 where the apostle Paul plainly said homosexuals would not go to heaven ! Also condemned in many other places .Best to know what you're talking about before posting ones ignorance !

Any reference to homosexuality in the Bible actually has to be inferred, the term didn't even exist until recently. Many of the references are also in the context of incest so it's difficult to say with any certainty that the Bible is one way or another. It's part of what makes it so compelling is that the writing is vague enough that a reader can get what they need from it. Unfortunately that also means that people can twist it to their purposes.Rotjeknotje wrote: ↑Apr 22nd, 2025, 2:19 pm Woodchuck asked where homosexuality is condemned in the bible .........................................................................................................................................................................
