A similar situation occurred many years ago in Rosebery B.C. when the province re-aligned the bridge over Wilson Creek on Hwy 6. After the new bridge was built the old bridge on the old alignment fell into a state of disrepair and eventually was torched by vandals. There was a huge hole in the deck of the old bridge after the vandalism that created a huge liability for the province. Unless the folks wanting to keep it want to accept all liabilities (unlikely) it needs to be removed.
