Polievre has nothing but fear and slogans. Hopefully after he loses this election the Cons give him the boot and get a real leader.

watch one of his rallies from start to finish, not just curated CBC clips. He is not spreading fear, he is pointing out everything that is in front of our eyes but for some reason people refuse to see. Look at the corruption, crime, violence stats! look at housing costs, food costs. It's not fear mongering to point out what any person with the most basic pattern recognition skills can see with their own eyes. He's not perfect by any means, but voting in a corrupt globalist banker who fear mongers climate change and Trump every 5 seconds seems to be more of the same old crap and corruption.

Just a note on why Pierre Poilievre is commenting on the soft on crime, that he is going to fix. He voted on this, with Harper, to fix crime, but was unconstitutional. Justin had to fix Harpers law with one that the Supreme court would accept. Pierre Poilievre also voted for economic measures 2007-08, that turned into a crisis, that the Bank of Canada, Carney, had to fix.

I've noticed that Pierre Poilievre likes to say he'll do a lot of things that he has no power to change. Any changes to laws need to get passed through parliament, obviously. He likes to fearmonger and then try to insinuate he can somehow fix said problem. Typical Trump maneuver and we're seeing how that's working out down South.

Parliament? what parliament ? We used to have a parliament but then we just had a tent of commons.Yielar wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2025, 12:07 pm I've noticed that Pierre Poilievre likes to say he'll do a lot of things that he has no power to change. Agreed. Pierre Poilievre is toxic and those listening to his illusory truth are most likely to a negativity bias.Garth Algar wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2025, 11:24 am Polievre has nothing but fear and slogans. Hopefully after he loses this election the Cons give him the boot and get a real leader.

9 years of failures and you worry about the conservatives . Worry about your great grandchildren paying off the liberal debt ……because it’s 2015gharshenin wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2025, 12:17 pmAgreed. So by proxy are you admitting that Carnage Carney has only dropped the collection of the carbon tax to $0.00 instead of actually getting rid of it as an election ploy? Since you know, parliament would have to be in session to do so and the Liberal government shut it down to avoid having to take accountability for millions of missing taxpayer dollars?George Orwell 1984 wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2025, 12:12 pmParliament? what parliament ? I'm not even going to touch on how much of this is factually invalid.Niceday1 wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2025, 12:01 pm Just a note on why Pierre Poilievre is commenting on the soft on crime, that he is going to fix. However, if Carney had to "fix" the 2008 crisis, why is his current platform cost plan tables repeatedly referencing (with money allocated) to Budget 2009, which is in reference to James Flaherty's economic plan to get us through the 2008 financial crisis. Page 58 of the Liberal cost plan, for reference.
How absolutely ironic that such a "high regarded" economist (depending on who you ask) would need to recycle a 16 year old economic plan made by a conservative, in an economy with 15% higher inflation, in a time he fearmongers as being the "biggest crisis of our lifetime"
I guess there's a reason Harper stated Carney was trying to take credit for the late James Flaherty's success in the 2008 crisis, even their platform is trying to revive the economical framework of the previous conservative government.

It’s going to take decades to even try and fix this crisis

Pollievre is a real dud of a candidate. Hopefully he will lose his seat .
All he has been doing is padding his pension off the backs of taxpayers.

I honestly thought one of his commercials reminded me of one of Hitler’s speeches. We must do this… we HAVE to do this…Garth Algar wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2025, 11:24 am Polievre has nothing but fear and slogans. Hopefully after he loses this election the Cons give him the boot and get a real leader.
