Re: Kelowna's Island Stage rejuvenation project expected to be done in next couple months
"While an exact completion date is not known, City of Kelowna media relations manager Tom Wilson said project is expected to be completed in the next month or two".
Kelowna, we have it in writing that the City of Kelowna is completely incompetent with regards to managing projects and our tax dollars. Is this a joke or what, "While an exact completion date is not known". If you do not know what the end date is for a project how can one manage a budget?

Lol, people find anything to whine about these days. Project timelines are always moving. Glad to see this project being worked out whether it's done in the next month or two is irrelevant.moeyou wrote: ↑May 10th, 2025, 6:58 am "While an exact completion date is not known, City of Kelowna media relations manager Tom Wilson said project is expected to be completed in the next month or two".

Hopefully this high level experienced castanet project management expert Can advise the city sooner than later? On what date will you advise them of your findings and recommendations?

Yes I agree Project timelines do move and in most cases the Project owner does not know how to manage the deliverables or the contractor. When Project timelines move the budget moves in an upward direction because you have personnel and equipment doing nothing but billing their time to the Project.Tack wrote: ↑May 10th, 2025, 8:29 amLol, people find anything to whine about these days. So yes the unknown completion date is relevant factor.
