Hooray.

That stretch is awful for cycling.

Glad to see this, it has been a pain to get through the intersection to the other side of the Leckie and then deal with being between traffic that could care less and all the parked cars.

I do worry that we'll need a bit of signage to make sure those going east on the Rail Trail will remember to take the right fork before Dilworth if they want to go to Costco. And the trail has been broken up quite a bit by root growth from the trees there.

That's the last thing this city needs until the crack head problem is addressed. There's no decent people using the rail trail ever. Because all the average citizens are terrified of being robbed, stabbed or stepping on a needle from these philthy excuses of humans.

The Greenway trail is the only one left where families can enjoy a walk worry free. Connecting them together is just going to make a super highway for crack heads to steal and rob all over town.

When will the rail trail be completed so we can ride to Vernon? The rail trail ends at the airport, this is totally ridiculous.

Bike path on Leckie

See the COK is moving forward with the bike path on Leckie. Curious as to how much this will cost?

This is just such a stupid move by the CoK. They have major push back from the local businesses, but of course they're going to push ahead with a bike path through an industrial area, eliminate much needed parking these businesses rely on, and take down some nice mature trees in the process.

Who cares what it's like trying to ride your bike from the rail trail to Costco? Seriously? What exactly are you going to take home from Costco on your bike. Ridiculous.

An even better question would be, that since they recently required Costco to make improvements to that section of road, why did they not incorporate this at the same time?

Spare no expense or disruption to satisfy city hall's obsession with bike lanes to accommodate a few cyclists. Instead of listening to local business owners with a financial stake in what is supposed to be a commercial/industrial area, they instead chose to bury their heads in the sand and push forward with bike lanes that eliminate the much needed parking. It's not as if they could've chose an option that maintained the parking, no they must chose the option that eliminates the parking. No reasoning with the unreasonable. What a bunch of dweebs we have working at city hall.

It's certainly in keeping with the past performance of CoK.
