Re: Four of 44 Peachland 2026 projects completed
Why would "identifying additional revenue stream opportunities" be a strategic priority? Are taxes & fees not more than adequate. My residential taxes, not including utilities, have increased by 40% over the past 10 years, is that not enough? I would think a more appropriate goal would be to identify ways to become more efficient, reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, regulations, & land use restrictions. As an obvious example, why would a small community the size of Peachland require a full time communications staff member?? I have no doubt there are many opportunities to reduce cost & the unnecessary size of local government! A government only has one source of revenue, that is the taxpayer.. taxes, fees, regulation & bureaucracy are out of control at all levels of government, set an example & work to the cost benefit of the taxpayer!
