Re: Fire Lookout Towers
Thank you for starting this post BriTer, and also to all the picture posters. I have been trolling some of the sites now looking for more old lookout pictures. This for me has brought back lots of old memories. Of course when it comes to forest fires, fire fighting equipment, and talking about old times in fire protection, I far too often reminisce more than my share about the past.

Re: Fire Lookout Towers
Your old memories of what has passed are a part of the making of B.C.s history Trapp and your reminiscences are far too few. And you have pics to go along with a lot of it. Geezus man!!!
Please feel free to let us in on what has been.

Re: Fire Lookout Towers
Trying to find info on the history of some of the lookouts, coming up with a lot of blanks. We will have to visit Idaho Peaks lookout. I found this description, from the parking lot!Said to be one of the most spectacular views in B.C.
'Views of Slocan Lake, the villages of Silverton and New Denver, and the glacier-covered peaks of the Slocan, Goat, Kokanee, and Valhalla mountain ranges.'
