i don't know why...but this one is the best for me.
Hysteria Johnson (born 1881)
Hysteria Johnson (born 1881)

My Coworker was pregnant and I asked her if she had a name picked out yet. She said no, but she wanted to stay away from weird names, like the one her sister had given her niece. The name? Felanie. Like Melanie, but with an F. If there's such thing as cursing your child, I think that may take the cake.

Re: The worst, most-humiliating baby names
I simply shake my head and simply ask....why? Why would a parent give their child a name that goes beyond unique and is just awful. Every time I hear of a Hollywood star giving birth, I brace myself in reading what name they have stuck their child with. Julia Roberts should be knuckle wrapped for naming her twins Phinneus and Hazel. Hazel is bad enough, I mean can we get any more old fashioned, but Phinneus??? Then there is Gwyneth Paltrow's kid, Apple. I sure hope that poor kid never puts on any added weight. Sean Penn and Robin Wright named their kid Hopper. Does anyone know what a hopper is? There are 'hoppers' in hospitals and nursing homes. They are used to rince out soiled bedding and clothing. Yeah.....ewwwie!
After saying what I did about weirdo baby names, I realize it's all relative, and what I may think as being awful, others don't. I just don't understand why a parent would intentionally give their much loved child a totally bazaar name.

Though sometimes it is not intentional. My cousin was already a couple of months old before my mother pointed out to my aunt that her choice of names was a little twisted...

When I worked in the NICU in ChiTown, all the little ones were named "hope" or "Treasure" or the like. Unfortunatly the names did not help them too much...the little ones with those names usually did not have much chance at life.
One crack addicted mother, before the child was taken from her, named her child "Imhotep". That has to be the worst name I have ever encountered to date

I did a brief stint at Marusa Marketing and one of the callers was named Harry Johnson. I am not kidding! His name popped up on the screen with the rest of his personal information. Why wouldn't he go by Harold??

Grade 8 teacher named Harry Cox! Poor guy! I would've dropped the money in front of the judge and picked something a little less, well, in your face!

So, Halle Berry has named her new little girl...Nahla Ariela. Not bad, but why do I instantly think of a small lion cub with a boob?

I had a Harry Dyck and a Harry Potts at my school. Maybe we need to stop naming our kids Harry
