Real Estate prices in Kelowna

Hey all,
I spend quite a bit time today on this site and I hear a lot of people complaining about heigh prices for real estate in kelowna whether you buy or rent.
Well, I'm a realtor in Toronto and allow me to share something with you.
it's not so bad after all.
I was looking thru your rentals and they are not more than what we have in Toronto and area.
Look 1 bedroom is from 900 to 1500 here
2 bedroom is from 1200 to 1700 in a condo.
If you want townhouse be prepared to be 1500 and up.

If you want a house 1600 but for something somewhat nicer, 2000 or 3000 or more. And we are not taking about having view. You kidding me. Add another 500 to 2000 just for the view along. There aint no view here. Hey by the way I'm talking suburb prices, I'm not taking about down town toronto, no,no,no suburb ok.

Now I'm seeing the same prices you have.

I see houses for sale in Wilden, which by the way I have no idea where it is. But you can buy something overlook lake and mountains for $600,000 with 3000sq.ft and may be 4 bedrooms and 2 car garage, new etc. That is NOT bad at all.

Now, the remaining question in this long, long post is this, how is it with jobs in Okanagan valley?

I'm not taking about doctors and lawyers. Tell me about an average Joe who work on construction, can he make 60K/year out there?
