Piecemaker certainly is shy. It's difficult to have a conversation with someone who has a giant flower hiding her face.
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

DH: That flower is darn useful. It keeps me safe because people that are wearing funny hats can't see me laughing at them.
It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.
