Patio & Deck Decor Ideas
I am looking for ways to spruce up my decks (2) and patio (1) areas into more attractive living spaces. What do you like to do with your patios and decks?

We just picked up a gazeebo and two futons. We set them up on our patio with a great outdoor coffee table, freestanding wrought iron candle holders with large pillar candles, and bamboo rug, with some colorful pillows. The futons will be great to fold down and push together for outdoor sleeping
Than in another spot I re-painted my wicker furniture and we picked up a round fire pit and set them up under a big tree in the back yard.

I like to make an outdoor living room. A place for that morning coffee, or that evening glass of wine. Always lots of pots full of flowers, end tables and candles.
Are any of your decks covered KC?

They are both covered, and rather small (7x10 & 9x5). The patio is also covered, it's off my front entrance between the house and carport with a big skylight above.
Last night I picked up some bamboo mats (4'x5') for the one off my diningroom ($9ea at Jysk oh my!), and am now thinking the table and chairs I have out there (although uber comfy) are just too large for the space once I put a bbq out there too! I may have to sell them and opt for smaller furniture (hard to find comfy plus small). The bamboo mats are nice in that they carry the same wood tone from the dining room out to the deck offering a sense of space through continuity.

What about a small bistro set?

Or a daybed, up against an inside wall, lots of comfy pillows on it and a coffee table in front. Looks like a big sofa but you can have a lazy afternoon nap on it. Just a wood frame with a bedskirt, and then a foam for the "bed". We bring our actual bed out onto our porch in about mid June and dont go back into the house until late Sept. (but I live in the bush)

That is something I think I will do for the upstairs deck... ohhh I can picture lounging drinking coffee surrounded by pillows in the early morning... I even have a spare coffee table and the beginnings of a daybed....

If you do intend on selling your outdoor furniture PM me some pics. I'm looking for some stuff for our new patio. I love the outdoor living room idea too, it's so much comfier than a boring old table with an umbrella.
