: Hating Vancouver is a given anywhere, as far as I'm concerned. I was born & raised there, and have lived in Kelowna for only 1 year. I'll never go back to that God-forsaken, over-crowded, filthy city, filled with nothing but gang violence.

Hating Vancouver is a given anywhere? Hardly. It has changed, yes, but that is the nature of things, just as it is the nature of things for many to hate the change and be unable to cope with it. Nevertheless, saying Vancouver is 'filled with nothing but gang violence' is a bit over the top, isn't it?
