Weird "Explosion" Last Night?

I think it was around 4 or 4:30am when a loud bang near Hwy97 & Gordon where I live woke me. It was a bit odd because it actually rattled my windows, like there was a shockwave...

Anyone know anything else or am I just crazy?

I heard thunder last night... maybe that was it.

it woke me up too, i thought it was thunder from a lightning strike pretty close to where we are. we're near the hospital.

That's what I thought. Must have been pretty close to rattle my window. Ok, on with my day ;)

more likely peekj was under their bed until we gave the all clear.

I was awoken at around 4:45 or 5am because of thunder it was loud and pretty quick so definately could have sounded like an explosion.

I just happened to be awake at that time. There was a lightning flash followed by the thunder at about a 2 second interval. So yes the lightning hit very close.

ya that woke up about everyone in my house, im in SE kelowna..

Almost sounded like a spaceship descending. Thats what i was hoping for


But ya, it was uncharactiristly loud lightning.

Was the thunder really bright too?

I was in bed... got woken up by it. I mean, it was a long rumble instead of the normal lightning noise
I am on well water- no boil water advisory for me

i was really tired last night but couldn't sleep. finally did doze off only to fired out of a cannon, or maybe i just dreamed it. LOL that's what it sounded like! it was loud. our bunnies were still scared when we got up this morning.

oh good, i can stop worrying about you then!
