What should I have done, left the dog out on the street? Maybe it could have gotten run over and that would have been much better. I would have loved to keep it over night, however I have a dog that doesn't like other dogs on his property. Not that this is any of your business but your snarky remark is why people don't try to do decent things anymore. If the owners read this then they can sleep knowing that their dog is safe and can be picked up in the morning. I know I'd feel better.

To dog owners: this is the second lost dog I have found in a week. Phone numbers on the tags or an address sure makes it easier to get your dog home to you.
