Sherlock Holmes did a lot of cocaine but I don't recall Agatha mentioning anything about crack.
Anyone else hear it was a crackhouse?

NO. (Not according to the news coverage.)
69-year-old owner shot basement-suite tenant. (Late with the rent? Used all the hot water?)

I can tell that you heard it was a crack house.
The guy shot in Vernon on the weekend was allegedly at a crack house...
It may be that the only crack found in the Rutland house is the crack that is sat upon...and maybe some drywall cracks.

Re: Just another day in Rutland
I am guessing (from recent update) that this was a dispute of some kind. I wonder why the house was known by police because it said the victim, wife, and small child had only moved in two months ago.
There are a LOT of unanswered questions here.
Was it then a crackhouse at SOME POINT prior to the new tenant? That could be a reasonable explanation for why the police were 'familiar' with the address.
or
Were the police familiar with it due to domestic disputes? Recent? Past?
Were the police familiar with issues stemming from the Landlord? Tenant?
Furthermore..
It's hard enough as it is to find a clean, safe place to live here that doesn't cost $1200-$1500/mo LET ALONE finding out your landlord is a gun-wielding nutcase.
I hope we are able to learn more about the circumstances behind this killing. One thing for sure, there is a small child without his daddy, and a woman mourning the senseless loss of her husband.

Crack the case, if you really want to know what they said.
